Kristine Timario, the new Manteca High publicity commissioner and aspiring 2024-2025 ASB treasurer, brings a wealth of experience and a bold vision to her candidacy.

The role of an ASB treasurer involves overseeing and managing the financial aspects of leadership and the entire school.

Timario 's candidacy is distinguished by her qualities that make her an ideal fit for this position. With a background in handling requisitions and managing finances for clubs like Key Club and Asian Pacific Island club (API), she possesses the necessary financial acumen and experience.

Timario's leadership journey began just a year ago, but her commitment is evident as she prepares to extend her contributions into a second year when she assumes the role of ASB treasurer.

“And even though, you know, she still has the same charisma that she always had as a freshman, but she's definitely more focused. You can tell that she's learned a lot. She's wiser. She's lived a lot in her year” Ms. Hasket her teacher of two years states.

In her current roles as activities coordinator and game coordinator for API, along with her editorial responsibilities in Key Club, she has gained valuable experience that positions her well for the challenges of the treasurer position.

One of Timario's key goals as ASB treasurer is to enhance the school's financial standing. Recognizing the difficulty of fundraising amidst football games, she aims to increase participation through innovative fundraising initiatives.

Timario plans to explore grant opportunities to secure additional financial support for various clubs, activities, and even sports programs.

Her strategic approach aims to address the financial needs of the entire school community.

Timario's decision to run for ASB treasurer may have been impulsive, but it was fueled by a realization of her existing financial background and a desire to make a bold impact. Her experience in managing the financial aspects of her clubs provided her with the confidence to take on a larger role. This impulsive decision aligns with her overarching goal of being a proactive and bold leader within the ASB.

As Timario envisions her role, she goes beyond the traditional duties of a treasurer. While managing finances is crucial, she sees the opportunity to be a leader who fosters school spirit and community engagement.

“So as an ASB treasurer, I was just hoping that I could not only be a leader, but I also want to share the spirit or school spirit and also just get more people to be involved. It doesn't even have to be like anything about money or fundraisers or anything” Timario States.

Her vision is not solely about raising funds; it's about encouraging widespread involvement. Timario wants to inspire a sense of belonging and participation among students, irrespective of their connection to financial matters or fundraisers.

Timario emerges as a candidate with a strategic vision and a commitment to improving Manteca High's financial landscape. Her blend of financial acumen, leadership experience, and a desire to foster community spirit positions her as a promising candidate for the role of ASB treasurer.

As she prepares to take on this responsibility, Timario's bold and proactive approach promises to make a positive impact on the school's financial well-being and overall community engagement.
